Acoustically Speaking

An intimate unplugged show featuring Musical Director/guitarist Dan Weiss, Adam & Anthony deliver solo sets featuring both original tunes and songs that have influenced their lives, capped off by performing a few of the iconic hits from where it all began- meeting at RENT, 20 years ago. RENT has gone on to become an international phenomenon from their Off-Broadway beginnings. Fans everywhere relate to the theme and stories of RENT and certainly have connected with the characters and the actors who portrayed them. From the original cast…Adam & Anthony have remained close friends while each have gone off to do additional great work in film and on Broadway.

Creating Acoustically Speaking: 20 Years of Friendship gives fans the opportunity to hear stripped down versions of the songs they know and love- while hearing new and familiar stories about the iconic show and friendship. It’s these intimate evenings that resonate best with fans. While they offer solo concert performances throughout the years, both enjoy their personal acting projects as well. Anthony starred in the hit Broadway musical, If/Then, and joined the National Tour for a year following its New York run.

Adam, after appearing in the Broadway musicals Chicago, Memphis and Cabaret, was one of the stars of Disaster on Broadway in spring 2016… a hysterical send-up of the 70’s disaster movies. Featuring an all-star Broadway cast, audiences returned to the show time and again. An Original Cast CD was released in fall 2016. We are thrilled to present this intimate evening, sharing their music and stories with their fans. A CD of Acoustically Speaking: 20 Years of Friendship will be released in winter 2016.

Twenty years ago, Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp played the male leads in a little show called «Rent.» On Aug. 26, the two visited The Cabaret with their «Acoustically Speaking» show, making strong cases for a) their individual talents, b) the legacy of their hit show, and c) the enduring strength of some of the «Rent» song stack.
